About

I am a lapidary artist and bench jeweler with over 30 years experience cutting stones. In addition I create my own sterling silver or gold settings. I am certified in Gemstone Identification by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America).  I was also a 2005 award recipient of the US Faceters Guild Single Stone Competition.

General Methods

Gem grade crystals are precision cut on a diamond cutting wheel using the Meet Point technique. Other semi-precious stones are hand cut as cabochons on other diamond cutting wheels. Silver and gold metals are cut to fit each piece uniquely and then spot welded with specialized bench jewellers tools.

  1. I absolutely love the Larimar ring I purchased at Art in the Park in Elmhurst IL. It reminds me so much of the sea and sky and even pulls in Bermuda. Is there any way to purchase more Larimar pieces? It seems like you only sell at art fairs. I would like to see other pieces.

Hi Cathy, we will put up some online offers soon. We have a busy show schedule this summer and just need a little time to get past that. Thank you for stopping by!

  3. are you going to have any shows in 2017. My wife bought several pieces from you at the Washington MI out door art and craft festival. you brought several pieces to our car ,because of her handicap and the shower activity. She gets complements on the African opal ring you showed her and she purchased . We went to your October 2016 scheduled show but you were a “no show”.
Hope everything is well and good with you relocation. Belated wish: ” Have a blessed Christmas and a healthy New Year”.

p.s. Darlene has also received several complements on the petrified dinasor ring.

  4. Do I remember correctly that we used to be able to purchase Refractol here?
Are you still selling it? If not do you have the formula for the fluid and would you be interested in selling it? I am a hobbiest faceter who teaches faceting at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in Northern Georgia. I am scheduled to teach 6 weeks this year and I would like to be able to offer my students access to Refractol.

Please get back to me when you can.

  5. Hello. I was extremely lucky at the Flint Art Museum, and won your beautiful Larimar Bib Necklace in the raffle! I wear it proudly, and show everyone the photo when I am not wearing it.
Are there earrings that would go with it?
    I would be interested.
    Thanks.
